Poème   Richard was interested in   the slope of the land, the windings of the Yarra, bell birds, white cockatoos, old gum stumps, bandicoots, flying squirrels, bats, goannas, dust and thunder, the old domicile, the horrid gap, blank opening in the woods, banks, gentlemen and ladies, riding dresses, perpetual gleam of beaver, parasols, silkiness, horses full of blood and hearts.
